There are several reasons why someone might choose to buy engineered oak click flooring that is oiled. Here are a few potential advantages:

  1. Natural and Authentic Look: Engineered Oak Oiled flooring enhances the natural beauty and character of the oak wood. The oil penetrates into the wood fibers, bringing out the unique grain patterns, knots, and texture of the oak. This creates a warm, authentic, and natural appearance that many people find appealing.

  2. Easy Maintenance and Repair: Oiled flooring is relatively easy to maintain. Regular sweeping or vacuuming, along with occasional reapplication of oil, can help keep the floor in good condition. In case of minor scratches or dents, it is often possible to spot repair the affected areas by simply sanding and reapplying oil, without needing to refinish the entire floor.

  3. Breathability and Moisture Regulation: Engineered Wooden floor Oiled finishes allow the wood to breathe more effectively compared to sealed or lacquered finishes. This can help regulate moisture levels in the wood, reducing the risk of warping or cupping. Additionally, oiled floors tend to have a more natural and tactile feel underfoot.

  4. Environmental Considerations: Some people prefer oiled flooring for environmental reasons. Oiled finishes typically contain fewer chemicals compared to lacquers or varnishes. Additionally, when it comes time to reapply the oil in the future, it can be done without sanding or stripping the previous layer, resulting in less waste.

  5. Design Flexibility: Enginnered wooden Oiled flooring can offer design flexibility as well. With oiled finishes, it is possible to choose different levels of sheen, from matte to satin, to suit your preferred aesthetic. Additionally, oiled floors can be easier to touch up or refinish, allowing for future changes in the look of the flooring without significant effort or expense.

It's important to note that oiled flooring requires regular maintenance and may be more susceptible to stains and spills compared to lacquered finishes. However, for those who appreciate the natural beauty and authenticity of wood, and are willing to invest a little more effort in maintenance, oiled engineered oak click flooring can be a great choice.
